John Christensen provides business valuation and forensic accounting services to many leading trial attorneys in the Chicagoland area. John has been recognized as a financial expert in numerous courts and regularly testifies to matters relating to the valuation of closely held businesses and financial accounting. John has spoken to various groups on the matters of business valuation and forensic accounting.
John has over 15 years of experience working with closely held businesses in numerous industries. Prior to joining Levin & Brend in 2001, Mr. Christensen was a vice-president of Reyes Holdings, LLC, a $6 billion food and beverage distributor. John joined Reyes Holdings after working with Arthur Andersen in Chicago as a consulting manager. At Arthur Andersen, Mr. Christensen was involved in the merger and acquisition of several medium to large closely held businesses.
John graduated from the University of Iowa, with distinction, in 1994, earning a B.B.A. in Finance. John most recently obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Society in 2008.
John’s family includes his wife Colleen and three children, Ryan, Nathan and Sarah. John enjoys spending time with his family and is active organizing and coaching numerous youth sports leagues.
